62% biked to school on Tuesday!

That’s over 200 kids biking yesterday!  Truly amazing. And 51% today!

Kids came out bright and early to have the first crack at the Spin Wheel on Tuesday. There were some fabulous prizes to win, courtesy of Playland, Booster Juice, Free Yumm, and Dairy Queen.  Lynn Valley Bikes did a great job conducting helmet and safety checks on dozens of bikes.

This morning, children took part in the Intermediate Bike Maintenance Course held by bike-savvy parents and snacked on fresh oranges and bagels, courtesy of Save-On Foods and Mount Royal Bagels.

What a week!

Coming up tonight:

–  The Argyle Mountain Bike Club will be riding with grade 6 & 7s at 4pm.
–  The Family Ride will take place from the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve gazebo at 6pm.  All are welcome, but parental supervision is required.  This is not a guided ride.

If your child is interested in contributing to Friday’s bake sale please have them sign up on the rolling board.

North Vancouver District Mayor Walton came to present students with our winning prizes from his Walk & Roll School Challenge! We beat out all 17 DNV elementary schools – woohoo!  The mango popsicles were delicious, the trophy was thrilling, and the $1500 will support our school’s active travel goals.
