All of the kids I talked to couldn’t believe how much fun they’d had at LVE’s Family Dance. Learning the Macarena, the conga line, the tag games, dancing to YMCA… it was truly an awesome night.
Tania Newman did a spectacular job pulling this all together – the ambience and decor were amazing (was that REALLY the school gym???), DJ Hot Wax was very fun and took requests from the kids, and the FREE photo booth was a blast. Not to mention the over the top concession stand – there was definitely some sugar-fuelled dancing going on!
Special thanks go to the PAC for funding this fun family event, uber-helpers Dominique Champagne, Eric Muira, Mark Howard, Heather Chopko Butler, Cheryl Green & Jeanette Duey, as well as Argyle students India, Anika, and Timothy. Also thanks to the parents who came early and stayed late.
A Note From Tania:
I would just like to say how proud I am to be part of this amazing school community and to contribute to the memories of our kids. To have witnessed the magical moment of every child singing their heart out (boys included!) when the “Frozen” song came on will truly be captured in our hearts forever!! Thank you to everyone who helped out and made this night possible! I would also like to say thank you to Mrs. Wanner for allowing me to set up 16ft tall drape walls without panicking too much! I look forward to being part of this event for as long as I can. I am thinking a circus theme might be fun for next year…. 🙂
