Meet Our New PAC Executive

President’s Message:

Jeanette Duey - President

Jeanette Duey – President

The time is flying by!  I can’t believe how quickly the school year goes by. This year, like all the years before at our fabulous school, has been amazing. We’re very lucky to not only have a great group of school staff and administrators, a group of parents that are able to work together and work around each other’s schedules but also live in a community that supports its local schools.  Our school is quite full and so efficiently run that our children benefit both in the classroom through the technology the PAC has been able to provide as well as extra curricular events. I’ve missed so much but hopefully we’ve all benefitted in some form or another from the PACs efforts.

Thank you to Helen Zaparniuk for all your time and hard work as PAC President for the 2013/2014 school year.  I’d also like to thank the outgoing PAC executive: Heather Skuse, Matina Spiropoulos and Suzie Ratsch. Thanks also to Program Managers Sonia McDiarmid, Kristy Tafel, Jennifer Doherty, and Laura McIntyre, who are leaving their roles.  Heather Speers and Cindy Lanctot are changing roles but staying on the Executive.

I’m looking forward to working with the new PAC Executive for the 2014/2015 school year; Nicole Eskes (Vice President), Maribeth Pearson (Treasurer), Candice Olivier (Secretary), Cindy Lanctot, Kazuye Charles, Heather Speers, Eric Miura, Barb Towns, Tania Newman, and Brenda Martin; Helen Zaparniuk will continue on in the role of past president.

Mahshid Ghodosy (Newsletter), Kyla Shore (Hot lunch), Julie Jay (Fruit and Vegetable program and Emergency preparedness), and Trina Sporer (Playground) will be valuable contributors to our PAC Programs.

Every parent in the school is automatically a member of the PAC.  I look forward to seeing you all there at one time or another…we promise to keep the meetings as short as possible but very sweet!

We have many committees that are setting up for another school year and could use your input and time. Please check the volunteer page  for details and contact me if you’d like more information.  Still to come are the Staff Appreciation Lunch and the Ice Cream Social – please consider volunteering for these events.

I look forward to meeting you at one time or another, please say hello if I pass you in the hall or on the playground.

Our final PAC meeting for this school year is Wednesday June 11th at 7pm in the school library.

Have a fabulous June and an amazing summer!

Thank you,
Jeanette Duey
