Haven’t heard of cyclo-cross? Some of your kids have after today!
Students in the Intermediate Divisions sampled a cyclo-cross course which challenged riders to race around a gravel track several times, lift their bikes over obstacles, dismount and run with their bikes and cycle over uneven terrain. Participants were tired, sweaty and happy after completing the course.
Before school, the dedicated staff at Lynn Valley Bikes came out to tune-up a long line-up of kids’ bikes. Brakes were adjusted, tires pumped and chains fixed in order to keep the LVE kids going.
And, the bike tally results for the 3rd day of BTSW was a tremendous 199 bikes. Parents, teachers and neighbours are delighted by the sight of so many bikes at the school. Thank you for supporting this event with your participation all this week!
Friday is the last day of Bike to School Week! Check out what’s happening:
