BTSW is gaining momentum

_MG_0135Day 2 of BTSW saw a surge in bikes at school. The day’s bike tally topped out at 194 bikes, that is 60% of the student population!

Lynn Valley Bikes was on hand before school to give bikes a once over and ensure bikes are in good riding condition for the iRide sessions and the evening Family Meet Up Ride .

FamRide-2 Cycling BC was back to host the iRide cycling skills session for Intermediate grades. The training included a sprint race course, cornering workshop and mastering ramps. For those children who were new to biking, Cycling BC provided bikes and got them pedalling independently.

For all those keen riders that scarfed down an early dinner and headed to the LSCR, the family ride proved to be an excellent way to cap off a beautiful day of biking. A delicious ice-cream treat awaited all the energetic riders at the End of the Line General Store.

FamRide-1Finally, don’t forget to collect pledges to earn yourself a chance to win some of the following prizes:
– MEC 24″ Ace Mountain Bike
– bike jerseys
– Playland passes
Endless biking Youth Sunday Rides
